Spicy smelling clove oil has been used for centuries in connection with respiratory ailments such as asthma and bronchitis; muscle aches, sprains and strains; and arthritis and rheumatism. Many individuals use clove oil for its analgesic effects, including treating mouth ulcers and toothache. Clove oil is also a constituent of Narayan Oil, an ayurvedic treatment for aches and pains.
